Add a fully detailed, easily lit* pod bay to Moebius’ new Discovery XD-1 kit from the classic film “2001: A Space Odyssey”. This set contains: Fold up pod bay based on the studio blueprints. Air conditioning vents. Pod egress platforms. Bonus: Platforms are made to fit Albion Alloys’ 1.6 and 2.4 mm brass tubing** so that they can be extended from the hull. Air conditioning vents. Test bench. Space suit storage mount with empty suits. Space Pods may be found on CultTVman's site. Note that the airlock and pod bay can not be installed at the same time. Do to changes in the miniatures during filming, the scale changed somewhat making the two not work well together. * Electronics not included. ** Tubing not included. 1.6 mm is part number SSB1M, 2.4 mm is part SSB2M.
